·         Oversee daily farm operations, including milking, feeding, and herd management.

·         Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.

·         Develop and implement standard operating procedures for all aspects of dairy production.

·         Monitor the health and wellbeing of the dairy herd.

·         Coordinate with veterinarians for regular health checks and treatment of illnesses.

·         Implement and maintain biosecurity measures to prevent disease

·         Recruit, train, and supervise farm staff.

·         Schedule shifts and allocate tasks to ensure smooth operations.

·         Conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing training and support

·         Monitor milk production and quality, ensuring compliance with industry standards.

·         Keep accurate records of production data, animal health, and breeding programs.

·         Analyze production data to identify areas for improvement and implement changes as needed.

·         Manage feed and supplies inventory, ensuring timely procurement and efficient use.

·         Oversee maintenance and repair of farm equipment and facilities.

·         Implement cost-saving measures without compromising on quality.

·         Implement sustainable farming practices to minimize environmental impact.

·         Manage waste disposal and recycling programs.

·         Explore opportunities for renewable energy use on the farm.

·         Develop and manage the production budget.

·         Monitor expenses and implement cost control measures.

·         Prepare financial reports and forecasts for senior management.

Key Requirements Skills, experience and qualification

·         Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Animal Science, Dairy Science, or a related field.

·         Minimum of 5 years of experience in dairy farm management or a related role.

·         Strong knowledge of dairy production systems and best practices.

·         Excellent leadership and team management skills.

·         Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.

·         Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

·         Good experience in food safety management systems and HACCP.        .
