Seko Girl's High School - Eldoret

Seko Girls’ High School is an academically competent institution founded in 2001 through the initiative of Mr Micah Cheserem the then Governor of the Central Bank of Kenya. It rests on an 8-acre piece of land that was initially meant for a primary school and a nursery school had been started. The school is located 18 km from Eldoret town, off Eldoret-Iten road (9 km from Marura Bridge).

In the year 2000, the Koitoror community was approached by Mr Cheserem to start a girls’ secondary school. An interim board was appointed to help in fundraising and setting up the school. He was appointed the school patron, a position he holds to date. His leadership has seen the school grow immensely in all aspects by supporting, mentoring and mobilizing local and international partners for the development of the school.
