Cube Movers Ltd - Nairobi

I used them to send few parcels to Europe. They are completely unreliable and unprofessional. I was given an absurd quotation and then when I told them that it was way above market prices they accepted to review it and came up with a new quotation for half the price. Seriously.....then, once I paid the money the lady disappeared, I had to call myself their core correspondent in Italy myself as they could not answer my query, then they gave me a deadline for the arrival f the parcels and disappeared. On the deadline I called them only to discover that the parcels hadn’t even left Nairobi and not only didn’t they bother to inform me, but they also didn’t have a clue about when the parcelswhere going to be sent. Do not use them. Scam!

I first used cube movers services on 30th May 2013 . The experience was an impressive one as they kept their promise of moving without tears .The team was smartly dressed and well coordinated .They come a team of five driver included .The driver is also part of the team as he actively participates in carrying the house item . Unfortunately I needed to move shortly after from the house after four months therefore I called my moving partner again on 4th October .Actually when I thought of moving I thought cube movers .By coincidence they sent the same team . This time they were to do the move a bit different as they were to move my house items to a storage location as I hadn't gotten a house. That means there was no unpacking .However though I was to be moved again on November 2nd to my new house . I called the contact person and he promised to send a team on November 2nd in the Morning . Sure enough he sent the team and they arrived at the storage location before me . When I arrived i was shocked because i found them packing my house items in a white truck without cube movers logo and the inside was very dirty .I called the contact person and informed him of the situation on the ground . He told me he would ensure that my stuff would be placed in such a way that the items would not get dirty . Since most of the stuff were packed in the boxes I let them do their part. As they were moving the items I noticed one of the mattresses was not wrapped and that means it gathered some dust after one month .Please take note I paid a premium for packaging material as I was informed that I would hold their packaging material for one month ....fair enough I didn't complain much about the charges as i knew the quality of the work was top notch . As they were moving the items one of the team members asked for water and i obliged to offer him a cup of water then he asked which floor my house was ( I didnt understand why he was asking that and in a high tone --anyway I ignored since i thought he just had a bad day ) When they finally finished packing I led the way and I had to drive slowly because the truck was heavy and couldnt speed . We arrived home and one the same guy who asked me about which floor my house is came knocking at the car window asking to come out of my car . I was on phone for less than a minute and the guy had audacity to come and ask me to get out of my car quickly and show them the house . I wasnt amused at all .I walked to the team leader and asked him if the guy was one of them or a casual . The answer was he was a casual . He has not been trained how to handle clients . I also noticed he kept on moving items labelled master bed room to guest bedroom and the team leader had to keep on moving the items to the right room . The casual was in such a hurry to finish moving the stuff and leave quickly . Finally they finished unpacking and when i walked to the kitchen i smelled a foul smell that was emanating from the fridge .I opened the fridge and it was full of maggots .The team that was moving from my previous house did not empty everything from the fridge before wrapping it .The meat was in the fridge for a month .


I would like to pose these questions to the management of cube movers

1. Why was I charged for professional services when you just contract unprofessional people to come and do the move ? I might as well picked a truck besides the road and pay only 5000 bob and then wouldnt have to complain because i'm dealing with untrained people ?
2. Why was I charged extra for packaging and all the items were not packed ?

3. Is this how you treat repeat clients 4. Was i treated like this because I paid upfront ? 5. Why was a dirty truck dispatched to move my stuff ? I expect an explanation as you did not keep your promise of MOVING WITHOUT TEARS . I can be reached on 0721 527 946
