State House in Kenya is the official residence and office of the President of Kenya. Located on State House Road in Nairobi, it is the center of the Kenyan government and the symbolic heart of the nation. It is a modern structure that was built in 1954 for the first president of Kenya, Jomo Kenyatta. The building is a complex of buildings, spread over a large area of land surrounded by a high security fence. Inside the compound, visitors can find the President's Office, the Office of the Deputy President, the Presidential Library, the Presidential Guest House, the State Banquet Hall, the Presidential Garden as well as the offices of the President's Cabinet and advisors.
