St. Clare’s Kaplong Mission Hospital is the largest Health Facility in the Catholic Diocese of Kericho. The Hospital is situated in the newly created Sotik District, along the Sotik – Kericho road at the junction to Bomet town to the East Sotik town 5 km to the West and Bomet 30 km to the South, in Sotik Sub County.
It was founded in 1957 by the Fransciscan Missionaries of St. Joseph an order closely associated with the Mill Hill Society. In September 1990 the daughters of Divine Love from Nigeria took over from the founding
