Mwananchi Microfinance - Nairobi

Mwananchi Microfinance is a rapidly growing financial institution based in Eastern Kenya, having only been established in March 2014 by a team of four people. In a short amount of time, the institution has already registered more than 20,000 members/customers in the region, giving out loan amounts of up to Ksh 5000000. Striving to become a bank in the next year, Mwananchi plans to be one of the biggest banks in Africa, if not the world. This impressive ambition has been made possible by their low-interest loans that can't be rivaled by any other bank or microfinance in the area, as well as their easy-to-access loan tactics. Looking ahead to the next two years, Mwananchi anticipates registering 20 times the number of customers it currently has. Furthermore, the institution has plans to establish new branches all over the country in the near future.
