Founded in 2021 by Joakim Cornelius, Wazing Zang is a self-governing, digital distribution, publication, and licensing technology company based in Nairobi, Kenya. The company offers services to manage and distribute music to major streaming platforms such as iTunes, Deezer, Spotify, Amazon Music, Google Play, Tidal, and others. Furthermore, Wazing Zang assists musicians in recording their work and collecting global royalty payments. Kapello, vocalist of the Russian G 254, was the very first Wazing Zang client. In 2021, the official Flexers used Wazing Zang to distribute their single, The One, to the MP3 store in Amazon. Wazing Zang in Kenya accounted for approximately 40% of iTunes' 100,000 music and nearly 29% of all online downloads. In the first quarter of 2020, Wazing Zang musicians received 10 million in distribution sales, a 28 percent increase from the previous year.
