Mamatoto aims to holistically take care of each expectant mother from any gestation, labor and delivery, first six months of Exclusive breastfeeding and later weaning.
Mamatoto is designed to work as a compliment of the Ministry of Health ( MOH) services, thus encouraging a minimum of 6 Ante Natal Clinics ( ANC) visits, Hospital or birth centers deliveries, Male involvement, Exclusive Breastfeeding, Fully Immunized Child and comprehensive under 5 years care. This is done through referrals of expectant parent’s hospital of choice. Linkage measures and individual reminders are some of the strategies put in place to help families keep to the date of appointment . We also hold cohorts monthly focused group meetings.
