The first real Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu academy in East Africa, One Tribe BJJ looks to nurture the growth of this art in a fun, friendly, yet potent, atmosphere.
Based out of Nairobi, Kenya, One Tribe is composed of a small but dedicated group of instructors and trainees from all over the world. Head Instructor Julio DeSouza (Brown Belt under Ricardo Testai - Kings MMA) and Tete Burugu (Blue Belt [4 stripes] under Marcio Simas - Gracie Barra Orlando), are the driving force behind One Tribe BJJ, and their ultimate goal is to grow the club's membership and to put Brazilian Jiu-jitsu on the regional map.
With the high level instruction, One Tribe BJJ is the perfect place to train jiu-jitsu for self defense, for sport and for awesome fitness, all whilst having fun!

There used to be no jiu-jitsu in Kenya... NOW THERE IS!!!
It's awesome to have a for real academy in Nairobi. The instructor, Julio (brown belt) and his assistant, Tete (4 stripe blue belt), offer a high level of training and with the small, but growing, group of dedicated practitioners from all around the world, One Tribe BJJ is a truly terrific place to train whilst in Nairobi!
