If your wheels are not balanced, it can normally result in a vibration of the wheels which can be uncomfortable to drive in as well as result in premature wearing of tyres, suspension parts and steering components. This can normally be detected by the steering wheel wobbling after a certain speed. Balancing your wheels can eliminate the vibration and ensure your tyres last longer, saving time and money.

If your wheels are not aligned properly, it normally results in the car ‘pulling’ in a certain direction. This can also make driving very uncomfortable as well as unsafe and also leads to an increase in wearing of tyres, suspension and steering components.
Wheel balancing refers to the distribution of mass within a vehicle wheel or tyre.

Having an imbalanced tyre will result in it hopping or wobbling which can be detected by vibrations in the steering wheel. This usually increases with speed.

Depending on the severity of the imbalance, having an imbalanced wheel can cause increase in tyre wear, an increase in rolling resistance that decreases fuel efficiency and faster wear of suspension and steering components such as wheel bearings, ball joints, bushes and mountings.

Wheel alignment is the direction and angle that the tyres of your car are facing and can be affected by driving against a kerb or hitting a pothole.

Incorrect alignment can affect the handling of a car and normally results in a car ‘pulling’ in a certain direction when attempting to drive in a straight line. This also results in an increase in rolling resistance which increases fuel consumption and affects the vehicle’s performance.

Having correct alignment can provide a smoother ride and prolong the life of your tyres, suspension and steering components.
