Conducting research and providing service in the public health sector is challenging in settings with limited resources. Healthcare workers practicing in most countries of Sub-Saharan Africa are often faced with high workload, outdated equipment, shortage of medical supplies, limited access to and inadequate training on current best practices. Most health-related research output from this part of the continent does not adequately address issues that are specific to the context. At CLINEPI Consult, we believe that optimal use of limited resources can be achieved if; appropriate training is provided to health care workers; evidence generated through research answers study questions linked to context-specific healthcare challenges; and healthcare workers and researchers gain the required knowledge and skills to access and interpret research material.
