Company description
Kenya Power owns and operates most of the electricity transmission and distribution system in the country and sells electricity to over 6,761,090 million by end of June 2018.

The Company’s key mandate is to plan for sufficient electricity generation and transmission capacity to meet demand; building and maintaining the power distribution and transmission network and retailing of electricity to its customers.

The Government has a controlling stake at 50.1% of shareholding with private investors at 49.9%. Kenya Power is listed on the Nairobi Securities Exchange.

Poor maintance service
Am very angry for poor maintance.every two weeks we get black out near karagita catholic church...i dont know what is the problem.if the problem is the transformer change it...we are tired now.

i am a resident of Kamere and we have a chronic problem that we loose power every now and again in some parts of the village.like we have lost it twice this week and today is tuesday,I wonder why this has not been resolved as it is a recuring issue now and again.
