M-Farm - Nairobi

M-Farm is providing a revolutionary solution for smallholder African farmers. By connecting these farmers to urban and export markets via SMS and a web-enabled marketplace, they are able to benefit from better prices and access to a wider range of buyers. This is especially important for the 4 million households in Kenya, representing 24 million people, who lack the access to urban or export markets and are usually exploited by middlemen or have little motivation to grow cash crops. M-Farm is providing a solution to this problem by negotiating with buyers, creating demand, and ensuring product quality through its network of agents.
